Heather Niven (BCBA)
Hi! My name is Heather Niven and I have been a BCBA since 2016. I began working with those who have disabilities in 2003 in group home and day program settings. I then became a supervisor of a day program in 2004. After this position, I became a teacher for children with various disabilities and remained a special needs teacher for 10 years. My education includes a Bachelors of Science in Exceptional Education with an endorsement in English as a Second or Other Language. I then got a Masters in Arts in Autism Spectrum Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities at the University of South Florida. After this, I went back to school to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. My passion in life is to provide people with disabilities the necessary behavioral, social, and communication skills necessary to assist them in reaching their maximum potential while appreciating their familial and cultural contexts.
